Single Review; Bariki Mzinga By Rico Gang
Rico Gang first attempt at getting us off our seats and taking to the dance floor once again this year. The track was produced by Vic West, same guy that produced last year’s banger “Kuna Kuna”. “Bariki Mzinga” is a decent track over a very rich beat. But also note that some of the lyrics are definitely 18+ if you understand what the lads are saying!
The song opens with HypeGad doing the most to puff up its intro followed by a catchy hook and the chorus from Rico Gang.
Odi wa Murang’a comes through with the first verse flexing his hoarse voice. His lines are very familiar but combined differently. The high points of the song is definitely in this verse.
K4 Kanali’s verse are full of rhythmic words as he plays around with his local sheng’. The Mapema Ndo Best hitmaker flows differently from the other artists.
After the chorus, Swat comes through with a chilled verse mentioning the type of drinks they are partying with. He appears as cool as a cucumber as he flexes his verses, unlike his usual self though.
Dj Joe Mfalme appears last playing with his Dj mixer nailing the song as their dancers and artists groove to the beats.
