Unspoken Salaton At His Best In Interview With Trace

Unspoken Salaton is the current Kenyan rapper to watch as of 2022. 

Before 2022, there weren’t many that had heard of Unspoken Salaton. Now, it’d be hard to find anyone who hasn’t heard of him or one of his songs. The rapper burst onto the scene this year where he was featured in Soko by Mbuzi Gang and Harry Craze. He has had projects like Eyecame mixtape but Soko put him on the charts. The artist revealed that Soko was just but luck for him; he found Vic West, Fathermoh and Joefes in the studio when the beats were being cooked up, he put his lines and later they sent him the beat via email. 

Since then, he’s gone from strength to strength, releasing his first Ep dubbed The Audacity, which featured standout tracks “Katika”, "You" and “Mambo Ni Mengi”. During a radio interview with Trace, Unspoken revealed that he started singing, or rather rapping, in church choir. He moved on to spoken word and has since maintained the art. The artists then joined the Black Market Records family in 2022 and things began to change for him. He admitted to being under the radar for a while and even went further to reveal his challenge in the music industry; finance.

When asked who he looks up to in the industry, Unspoken did not hesitate to praise Joefes of famous Mbuzi Gang. A motivator, he called him. 

The artist currently has been featured on Joefes' new album called Niko Maji Naflood Market and he also featured Joefes in his The Audacity Ep. It took Unspoken Salaton 2-3months to pen down The Audacity which has turned out to be a success since its release.

On being asked what his biggest motivation in life is, Unspoken Salaton disclosed that his background makes him want to do better, coming from a single parent family. The artist praised his mother, stating that she has been a great supporter of his art and she pushes him to be great. A lot is expected from the artist and with a growing fanbase, he looks set to continue his rise to stardom.
