New Video Going Global: Fathermoh Featuring Shekinah, 'Dai Dai'
Dai Dai is a song done by two artists, that is, Mbuzi Gang's Fathermoh and Shekinah Karen. From an interview with The Trend, the two disclosed that the song was all about gender based violence and the insecuritites couples have in relationships, most especially the young generation. The scene begins with Shekinah coming back home late at night and drunk only to find Fathermoh waiting for her in the living room. They exchange some hurtful words through their rap. Fathermoh doesn't hesitate in the verbal fight throwing fire line after line. Their comic facials and witty lines will surely have you laughing at their bickers. Shekinah feels as though she is being treated as a young school girl with all the rules Fathermoh has set up for her, therefore, she decides to pack and leave. Later, we see Fathermoh pursuing her and trying to sweet talk her to stay. He promises to be better and will not hit her again. He even goes ahead to compare their love to a couple of celebrity partners which is assummably amusing. Eventually, Shekinah forgives him and they go back to the house together. The song can be used to show how different couples solve their muddles. Talking things out is a perfect way if either of the spouse doesn't choose to leave and never come back. It's so amazing how Dai Dai has made the charts (to over 739K views on Youtube) eventhough their was little to no faith for the song from the producer, Vic West. Nonetheless, as the adage goes; to believe in certainty, we must begin by doubting. The merger is awe inspiring and the story told is worth your ear. So grab your headphones and tune to Dai dai by Fathermoh featuring Shekinah Karen on any streaming musical app.
