Kuna Kuna Copycat

Many of Kuna Kuna fans have asserted Moji ShortBabaa’s gospel single, “Werokamu”, is a replicate of the hit song.

If you listen to Werokamu, structurally, Moji takes what Thee Exit Band did on Kuna Kuna and changes the hook and chorus while keeping the beat relatively the same. You’d find yourself singing the original version of the song that goe; “My hands, your waist, my heart away, unanikuna kuna…” instead of Moji’s; “Make my heart your home…”

The argument was brought to the table with fans commenting on Werokamu’s release on Nairobi Gossip Club Instagram page stating how alike the song is and others went further to brand it Kuna Kuna remix.

It comes as a surprise since most netizens assume that gengetone music is not delightful and to their liking yet they sit, watch and copy tips from the thriving genre. This is a pacesetter for Kuna Kuna by Vic West and all gengetone songs alike.
