New Energy From Ugandan-based Singer Daddy Andre And Kenyan songbird Teslah ;Gemazima
Daddy Andre and Teslah’s energy is unmatched. The two Black Market signees have just released their long awaited collabo dubbed Gemazima.
For the most part, Daddy Andre and Teslah do a good job of feeding us what we want: this Afrofusion party track, which can also be a mid-tempo bedroom track. The two artists know how to make ears and souls feel them. Teslah seems to have the missing piece Daddy Andre was looking for that would help us take Gemazima or rather ‘Thats the truth’ to another incarnation.
Hoping on this track, Gemazima, Teslah has paved way for herself to be heard far and wide. With the love Ugandans have for Daddy Andre, this is a positive step to add her number of fans.
The most intriguing part of this latest foray, however, lies in the songs lyrical smarts or unique sound. The project was brought to life across two different countries, via a collaboration between Ugandan-based producer/award winning artist who is also a song writer, Daddy Andre and Kenyan vocalist/phenomenal R&B singer -songwriter, Teslah.
Gemazima has the two musicians singing back to back in Luganda, Swahili and English alongside the head-bopping tune.
This kind of unexpected collaboration involving two artists from different disciplines, countries, and languages is amazing, and that’s what is making it particularly interesting.
