Sababisha EP Review; Confident Return of Rico Gang
Calling them Kings of Comeback is an understatement. The duo are back with a bang, back with some might. They have an EP out now on YouTube and any online streaming app dubbed "Sababisha".
Sababisha EP has eclectic audio texture that gives every track a commanding crispness. This is a big album packed full of good vibes and gratefulness.
1. Sunday- Rico Gang by Vic West
The song starts with Italian phrase "Te quiero" which means I love you in English. The song is a party jam full of good vibes and fresh sound.
It has Harry opening the song with the hook then Triand comes in for the first verse. The song has witty lines with aggressive party vibes that will have you dancing your way out.
2. Asante Baba- Rico Gang
Other than building a career purely from party rap or songs for “the ladies” Rico Gang has surprisingly packaged a gospel song to their Ep.
Asante Baba has Triand and Harry giving thanks to God for always being their for them through their ups and downs. They sing; Baba mimi siwezi ishi bila wewe, maishani mwangu, kwa nehema niongeze baraka, kwa neema niongeze baraka kwani me siwezi ishi bila wewe...asante baba
3. Miondoko- Rico Gang ft Mbuzi Gang & Magix Enga
Currently the most trend song on Tiktok with crazy dance challenges to it, Miondoko is set to make charts even before the release of its music video. Miondoko is the swahili term for Rythms. It's currently a trend phrase for dancing or dancehalling to a jam (specifically for the UB40 jam dubbed Moonlight Lover). Here we have the five; Harry, Fathermoh, Triand, Joefes and iPhoolish rapping through
4. Aki Ya Nani- Rico Gang
The jam has the duo swearing to things they love, things that have caught their eye. The song has a dancehall beat to it. This is a new sound for the lads, no lie. It has witty bragging with unapologetic lines to it.
5. Sababisha- Rico Gang, Willis Raburu & Benzema
With the help of Willis Raburu and Benzema, Rico Gang made life to Sababisha a month ago. They released a music video for this mighty comeback music and it gained praises and positive reviews from critics. Featuring Willis Raburu was a big move for Rico Gang since he's always been known as the hype master, but here, here we have Willis singing his own handwritten lines. If anything, Sababisha grandstands harder; they sing more lively and it examines the rappers' ability to work together, putting their great minds to entertain us.
Get a chance to listen to the 5-song EP and don't forget to show some love to the artists. Cheers!
