EP Review; Sugarcane Sweetness From Seska

Seska is on a new swing and his music fanatics can either grab the wheel and hold tight or let the door hit them on the way out. He has just dropped an EP called Sugarcane, and it's as sweet as it sounds. Many may choose to stick around for his seemingly out-of-nowhere rap chops because the project combination is superb.

On his first track “Amelia,” Seska spits out in his first verse: “Nisamehe for blasphemy, my curiosity/ Ukiomba pongi haukuanga tu hondi/ Arif nimemficha, juu anaeza chachisha/ Labda achome picha, akianza kutapika/Umesunda umefich umejicrop kwa picha.”

In the second song "Apewe Mic", he made an effort all through the rap. "He sings; Fala apewe mic, apewe mic ajichomee kabisaa." The wordplay in the second verse is absolutely humorous as he raps; "Am troublesome, kambasome, na luck too much and am bothersome, a bit gruesome, so quarrelsome, and tiresome, am just a scam."

In Inflation, he teamed up with his band member, Swat Matire to make the amazing jam. The beats on the song are mega and the two work splendidly together.

In "Situation Opaque", the song has Sauti Sol's Rhumba Japani vibe with the rhumba tunes. He raps through the sweet melody and you can absolutely slow dance to it. Each verse waterfalls into the next with a smooth flow.

The currently signed BMR artist, graced us with a music video for his fifth song Tatu Tatu along side the EP. The song, assumably, speaks about the staircase structure in Pipeline estate, but then again there's a deeper meaning tu the song cause he states that; life starts at fourth floor. Being a solo artist presently, Seska has a long way to go but with the way he's started, he is a sure bet. Go check out Suragacane on any online streaming app and do share your views on it.
